Eating out

Mallorcan cuisine, featured in most restaurants on the island, is a lively combination of traditional peasant dishes and some more sophisticated European fare, with a strong emphasis on fish and seafood.

Bread, olives and aoli (garlic mayonnaise) are usually brought to your table when you first sit down. You will be charged for eating these, about 2-3euros per person. The local bread and the olives are usually very good. In hot weather check to see that the aoli is fresh.
